I think I will elaborate on this for another post, but the idea struck me and I had a moment to write, so here it is...
Recently, I have taken a step back to get some work done, pay some bills, and that has pulled me from the kinky playtime that I could have been having. I have a wonderful boyfriend to play with, but I seem to inadvertently ignore him at times because of personal frustrations and issues. This brought me to re-focus a bit and to reflect on the chance meetings that I have had.
I have met many people, and at first that was due to the power of the internet and sites like Recon, GearFetish, and RubberZone among others. It took a while to find these sites and to even get the courage to fully utilize them for what they are.
I guess I am lucky that I have the opportunity to use such great tools for expanding and networking in the community. They helped me meet my first tie-up experience and even my boyfriend, as well as people that got me to take a trip to IML. This event then helped me expand my currently friend-base and meet even more great people.
I think it is easy to forget that there were days that this wasn't the norm, and meeting up wasn't as easy for those of us in rather isolated areas without outing kinks, or being judged by those who didn't like some kinks rather than others. I have to say that I am thankful for the opportunity not only to reach people using these kinky networking sites, but even to publish this blog.
